Academe180 LLC is a professional development group designed to support academics transitioning from the classroom into the workplace and/or entrepreneurship.
Major gaps remain surrounding professional development and mentoring experiences of graduate students, research post-doctorate fellows, and early-career faculty members, especially for individuals from diverse backgrounds (e.g., racial/ethnic minorities, women, first-generation students). Some of these disparities include the lack of advocacy and support, limited mentorship and advising from individuals from diverse backgrounds, pay disparities and retention support for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Academe180 helps close these gaps through training, workshops, and one-on-one consulting services that support, guide, advise, and help prepare diverse academics for successful careers.
Academe180 LLC is proud to have worked with over 1500+ professionals and counting. We have helped individuals on the job market prepare for the interview and secure additional salary, research start-ups, spousal hires, and more. Our one-on-one services have led to increases in pay from $7,000 to $20,000. We have also helped secure start-up funds ranging from $12,000 to $60,000 more than the initial offer. However, these numbers can increase based on industry/field and more. Spousal hires (for clients who do not have partners in academia) have started at $50,000+. We have also helped academics create businesses and additional streams of income inspired by their passions and expertise. We have provided our interactive group workshops across diverse universities and programs. We also provide live group coaching, online courses, and custom one-on-one services to meet your personal and professional needs.
