Negotiation Call #1 – Preparing Before and During the Offer $1,200

Long before the job offer, it is important to be prepared to negotiate. This call is designed to help prepare you for negotiating by helping you assess your needs, wants, and goals across critical areas. We build an extensive list together to make sure you are clear about your needs and wants across important areas. This call also provides clarity around your value and provides you insight on how to justify your requests. You will also learn about finding “the right language” when negotiating an offer. This call is ideal for those going on the job market, those who anticipate an offer, or those who have just received an offer and may have some anxieties around what to do and say next. The call is also ideal for those who have secured jobs but did not negotiate their original offer. By the end of the one on one consultation service, each client will have a completed self-assessment, a list of needs and wants across pertinent areas, examples of how to justify your requests, strategies to assess alignment between you and the employer, and sample scripts or questions that can be used and asked during the interview or offer stage. On this call, there are also opportunities to ask questions and practice/role play. We help relieve the stress and reduce anxiety surrounding negotiating by 1) getting you organized 2) practicing with you and 3) finding the language and some strategies to have the important and sometimes uncomfortable conversation about money (and other needs). Phase II: Virtual Consultation-Completed Face-to-Face (Est. Call Time is 1.5 -2 hours).

Negotiation Call #2 – After the Offer/Renegotiating an Offer $1,200

This consultation is essential if you have already signed a contract or feel you would like to evaluate your desire to renegotiate your current offer, salary, contract, or package. Once you have signed your name on the dotted line, you can use strategies to renegotiate your position. This call benefits students, fellows, scholars, and faculty looking to renegotiate their appointment, title, or role at the university. If you are looking to renegotiate salary or other things during a reappointment, promotion, or receipt of a new grant, we can help you renegotiate. You should also consider this call if you are preparing for a raise (e.g., merit raises). Phase II: Virtual Consultation-Completed Face-to-Face (Est. Call Time is 1.5 hours).

Negotiation Call #3 - Follow-Up Negotiation Call $500

This call is only available for those who have purchased the negotiation consultation #1 or #2 service within the last 9 months. This call is tailored to address your needs as it relates to negotiating but does not review the basics of negotiation similar to negotiation calls #1 and #2. This call is designed to help you answer new questions that have arisen during your negotiation process. This call is also a resource to those who desire additional support to help you navigate negotiation conversations. We can use this call to reflect on offers, develop counteroffers, evaluate the alignment of offers with our personal and professional goals, and more. You will be able to submit any questions you have during Phase I of service. I will provide answers to your questions during Phase 2. Those interested in this service may sign up for more than one follow-up call as needed. Phase II: Virtual Consultation-Completed Face-to-Face (Est. Call Time is 1 hour).

Value Assessment/Salary Justification $800

What should your ideal salary be? What should you charge for your consultation services? How much should you charge to speak? How do you determine pricing and costs? If you have ever asked this question, this call is for you. This call is designed to help you decide on value and/or what to charge. This call is also for those who would like support with drafting a document or letter to “justify salary” or support a salary/promotion request. We discover and explore language, gifts/talents, strengths, assets, supply and demand, personal needs, personal and fiscal costs, and value. For those who are looking to provide a service, determine how to figure out salary range, or need to determine how to go about charging for speaking engagements, this consultation is for you. I will also help you explore the language necessary to sell your products or services. For those on the job market, this session will help you find confidence in asking for the salary you desire and gain comfort in owning your personal and professional needs, gifts, and talents. Phase II: Virtual Consultation-Completed Face-to-Face (Est. Call Time is 1 hour - 1.5 hours of time).
